Upload a clip with a date and time burned into the picture. Automatic detection finds the stamp, even while the seconds tick, and rebuilds the picture behind it without cropping.
How to use the video timestamp remover
Preview locally, then submit using the trial or processing status shown on the page.
- 01
Upload the clip with the date stamp
MP4, MOV or WebM up to 100MB and 10 minutes. Cut longer dashcam or camera recordings to the part you need.
- 02
Use automatic detection
No boxes are needed. Automatic detection covers full-frame text watermarks, static logos and burned-in subtitles, including moving and scrolling text. Large solid badges are filled with a flatter background. Rectangle BOX selection is supported. Object removal is not supported.
- 03
Download the clean video
Check the live tool status before submitting. Trial access and full-video credit purchase follow the page status; catalog credit numbers do not mean full videos can be processed now.
How do I remove the date and time stamp from a video?
Upload the video and keep automatic detection on: a burned-in date and time stamp is found and repaired in place, even when the seconds tick every frame, without cropping. Dashcam text such as speed or a camera label is removed too.

Where does your timestamp come from?
Dashcams and security cameras
Date, time, speed and camera labels are burned in while recording. Automatic detection removes them from your own footage. Keep the original if the recording may be needed as evidence.
Camcorders, old digital cameras and phone apps
The date stamp in a corner of home videos or date-stamp camera apps is burned into the picture and can be repaired the same way.
A timecode shown by your player
If the time disappears when you switch off the player overlay or the on-screen display, it is not in the video and needs no repair.
Video timestamp remover FAQ
Automatic detection, subtitle types, trial access, and result limits.
Can I process and download a trial without signing in?
Process the first 5 seconds, up to 720p, without signing in. Download one successful result per trial session with no credit charge. One retry is available after failure; full videos are quoted separately.
How much does it cost to remove the timestamp from a 1-minute video?
About 100 credits at 720p (200 at 1080p), billed per started 30-second block, with the exact quote shown before you confirm. The $9.90 pack has 500 credits, about 5 minutes at 720p.
Will removing the timestamp blur my video?
It does not blur or crop: the marked area is rebuilt from the surrounding picture. Busy or fast-moving backgrounds can show artifacts, and the output is re-encoded, so it is not lossless. This page shows a real before/after from the tool.
Does it work on dashcam or security camera footage?
Yes, for your own recordings. Each file can be up to 10 minutes and 100 MB, so cut the part you need from longer recordings first. If the footage is evidence (an accident, insurance claim or police report), keep the untouched original and do not submit a version with the timestamp removed.
What if the timestamp sits on a black bar?
Automatic detection repairs the bar too, but a large solid bar is filled with a flatter background that can show on detailed scenes. Plain or outlined digits, like the real example on this page, come out cleanest.
Can I get the original picture under the date back exactly?
No tool can recover pixels that were never recorded. The area is rebuilt from the surrounding picture, so it looks natural rather than identical to the hidden original.
Does the video keep its size and length?
Yes. Nothing is cropped or cut; the output is re-encoded as MP4.
How are video processing credits calculated?
A guest trial currently covers the first 5 seconds at up to 720p with no credit charge. Full videos are quoted at 50 credits per started 30-second block after the server verifies duration. Confirmation reserves credits; failed or timed-out tasks return them. Rectangle BOX is 25 credits per block. Object removal is still unavailable.
Which formats are supported, and is processing open?
Local preview accepts browser-playable MP4, MOV, and WebM up to 100MB. Choosing a file does not upload or charge you. Live tool status shows trial access and whether purchase is open. A rectangle can be drawn on the preview. Object removal is still unavailable.
