How do I remove captions from an Instagram Reel?

Will removing Reels captions blur my video?
It does not blur or crop: the marked area is rebuilt from the surrounding picture. Busy or fast-moving backgrounds can show artifacts, and the output is re-encoded, so it is not lossless. This page shows a real before/after from the tool.
Can it remove text added with the Reels text tool, in a white box?
Yes, but the result depends on what is under the box. Over a wall or sky the fill is flatter but natural; over a face or hands the hidden face was never recorded, so the repair looks smeared. The real comparison on this page has a white text box over a face so you can see this limit.
Is there an easier way if I just want captions hidden?
If the Reel is not posted yet, or you only see captions while watching in Instagram, they are usually switchable auto-captions: turn them off in the posting or viewing settings, no video repair needed. Use this tool only when captions are burned into the downloaded video file.
Do I need the original Reel project?
No. Upload the video file itself.
Will the video stay vertical?
Yes. The 9:16 frame size is kept and nothing is cropped; the output is re-encoded as MP4.
